The Montgomery County Hospital District announced in a news release Dr. Casey Patrick will take over as the new medical director for emergency medical services in Montgomery County as of Jan. 22.

What you need to know

MCHD’s Emergency Medical Services Department oversees the activities of all paramedics and ambulance personnel for Montgomery County. As the new medical director, Patrick will also provide medical oversight for all 13 fire departments across the county.

Patrick is taking on the position following the retirement of Robert Dickson, who has served as medical director for MCHD since 2015, according to the release.
