Interested candidates can now apply for a position on the ballot for several Conroe- and Montgomery-area municipal and school board elections. The election is scheduled for May 4.

The filing deadline opens Jan. 17 and runs through Feb. 16. In Conroe and Montgomery, the positions up for election in May include:
Conroe Mayor
- This position is held by Jody Czajkoski.
Conroe City Council, Place 1
- This position is held by Todd Yancey.
Conroe City Council, Place 2
- This position is led by Curt Maddux.
Montgomery Mayor
- This position is held by Byron Sanford.
Montgomery City Council, Place 2
- This position is held by Casey Olson.
Montgomery City Council, Place 4
- This position is held by Cheryl Fox.
Montgomery ISD board of trustees, Position 4
- This position is held by Trey Kirby.
MISD board of trustees, Position 5
- This position is held by Linda Porten.

Those interested in filing as a candidate in the May 4 elections can obtain an application from the Texas Secretary of State’s website and file it with the respective city secretaries or at the MISD Education Support Center located on Eva Street.
