Montgomery ISD board of trustees places 1, 2 and 3 are up for election this May. Elected in 2020, all three incumbents confirmed with Community Impact that they will file for re-election.
Trustee Shawn Denison said he is proud of the district's accomplishments since 2020 and is excited to file for re-election.
"I want to continue moving our district in the right direction, focusing on improving teacher compensation and growing our career and technical education opportunities for students while maintaining our commitment to responsible budgeting and transparency with our community," he said in a statement.
Individuals interested in applying for a school board position can pick up an application at the school administration building located at 20774 Eva St., Montgomery. Board members serve a three-year term.
