With the fall season quickly approaching, a number of events have been organized in the Montgomery County area. Activities include seasonal festivals, music festivals and holiday shopping markets.

Montgomery Wine & Music Fest Montgomery
The festival celebrates its annual event in historic downtown Montgomery. The festival features Texas-made wine and spirits, food and music. Oktoberfest at B-52 Brewing Co.
In celebration of Oktoberfest, B-52 Brewing in Conroe will offer authentic German lagers on draft and German food provided by Sauer Kraut Food Truck, as well as dishes from food truck Kajun Asian on Wheels. The featured beer this year is the 2017 Festbier, along with other German-inspired beer. The cost of entry includes a souvenir half-liter mug, filled with three half-liter draft pours. P-6 Farms annual corn maze & pumpkin festival
P-6 Farms in Montgomery hosts its annual corn maze and pumpkin festival. The intricate six-acre and two-acre corn mazes will be revealed Sept. 1. The festival includes farm animals, a candy cannon, the cow train, a tractor hayride, tug of war and pumpkin picking. After dark on Saturdays in October, visitors can participate in “Field of Screams” activities. Farmer Bo’s famous brisket and other fall food will be available for purchase. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. (Saturdays), noon-5 p.m. (Sundays). Lobsterfest 2017 Dinner and Auction
The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce hosts the 31st annual lobster dinner and auction fundraiser. Dinner includes Maine lobster, steak and fixings. Beer and wine are available for purchase. Guests can tee off for a game of golf at April Sound Country Club. The golf tournament is Oct. 6. 6 p.m. $80 (dinner ticket), $750 (table of 10), sponsor opportunities available. Texian Heritage Festival
The annual festival celebrates the native history of Texas with battle re-enactments, Native American dancers, pioneer activities and cannon demonstrations. Michael Player and the Playboys perform 5-8 p.m. on the Wiesner Automotive Stage. Sack races, roping, tug of war and other games are available at the Kids’ Korral. Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival
The Friends of Conroe, a nonprofit organization that supports civic and cultural improvements in Conroe and Montgomery County, hosts its 28th annual festival in downtown Conroe. The three-day event features musical performances on three stages. Food vendors offer Cajun and festival fares. The event also features a carnival, a KidZone area, the annual Cat sh Pageant and festival activities. 6 p.m.-midnight (Oct. 13), 11 a.m.-mid- night (Oct. 14), noon-6 p.m. (Oct. 15). Trick or Treat Trail and Movie in the Woods
The 8th annual event returns to Conroe. Hosted by the Conroe Parks and Recre- ation Department, the event gives visitors the opportunity to dress up in Halloween costumes and walk the trail to receive Halloween treats from local businesses

Pumpkin bobbing
The Conroe Parks and Recreation Department hosts a pumpkin bobbing event at the Conroe Aquatic Center for children ages 4-12. Conroe’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts this weeklong fundraising event at the aquatic center. Throughout the week, the price of admission to the center is waved in exchange for two nonperishable food items.
