MCFA Scholarship Chili Cook-Off

The Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo is kicking off the rodeo season with its annual Scholarship Chili Cook-Off. The competition includes a from-scratch chili cookoff as well as a cornhole tournament, bloody mary competition and prizes. The public can participate in the “Taster’s Choice” competition and enjoy live music and other festivities. All proceeds go to the MCFA Scholarship Fund supporting Montgomery County high school seniors.

Disc golf clinic

The city of Conroe Parks & Recreation Department is holding its monthly free disc golf clinic to teach the basics of disc golf. This event is designed for all ages and is held the second Saturday of each month.‘West Side Story’

The Crighton Theater is presenting West Side Story, a tale inspired by “Romeo and Juliet,” placing the characters in the battleground of New York City’s West Side in the 1950s.

Conroe Go Texan Parade


The 59th annual Go Texan Parade will feature ​​decorative floats and hundreds on horseback parading through downtown Conroe.11th annual Montgomery County History Road Rally

The Montgomery County Historical Commission is holding its 11th annual rally. The family-friendly event consists of a cruise throughout Montgomery County with clues to solve. The rally will focus on The Woodlands and the South Montgomery County area. Each vehicle can have two to six participants.Rodeo Round Up

The Conroe Symphony Orchestra presents a concert with Western movie and TV themes, including "The Good, Bad and Ugly" by Ennio Moriconne, "The Magnificent Seven" by Elmer Bernstein, and "The Furies Suite" by Franz Waxman.

Lone Star Throwdown
