There are several events centered around Veterans Day taking place in Conroe and Montgomery. Check out a few of them below. This list is not comprehensive.

Chick-fil-A Toddler Time Thank You Veterans

During two Toddler Time events at Chick-fil-A in Montgomery, kids will get the chance to make a Veterans Day thank you craft. The restaurant will also be taking handprints to finish its Chick-fil-A Kids American Flag.

The Woodlands College Park Choir Songs of Freedom: Military Salute Concert

The choir at College Park High School will host its annual Songs of Freedom: Military Salute Concert. This event will also feature refreshments, and attendees will be able to view the school’s Hall of Honor.

Willis High School Flag Raising

Willis High School will host a flag-raising ceremony in honor of veterans and their families. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission Veterans Day Celebration



The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission is hosting a Veterans Day celebration that will feature live music, speakers, a dedication of new walls to The Line Memorial Wall and a swearing-in ceremony for new members of the United States Army. There will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for the commission’s new education center and event hall.

The Woodlands Show Chorus Salute to the Holidays

Performing at First Presbyterian Church Conroe, The Woodlands Show Chorus’s Veterans Day show will include patriotic music as well as holiday songs. Refreshments will be provided,and this event will include a bake sale and a silent auction.

Montgomery and Conroe Comprehensive Dental Centers Dentistry for Veterans

Montgomery and Conroe Comprehensive Dental Centers will be offering free dental care for veterans on Veterans Day. The free services will include cleanings, relief of pain, fillings, root canals, crowns and extractions. Prescreenings are required, and proof of military service must be shown.

Mighty Oaks Foundations’ 22 for 22 Veterans Day Run

On Veterans Day, the Mighty Oaks Foundation is hosting a Veterans Day run to bring awareness to the issue of veteran suicide. This event will also include live music and entertainment.

Henry’s Home Veterans Day Fundraiser



Conroe-based nonprofit Henry’s Home, Horse and Human Sanctuary is hosting a Veterans Day fundraiser that will include a barbecue cook-off, a mechanical bull ride and an obstacle course.
