The city of Conroe offers seven sports programs: youth soccer, youth flag football, youth volleyball, men's basketball and co-ed volleyball. According to previous reporting, Conroe expanded its recreation programs to provide more capacity for citizens and meet demand for the programs.
The city's before- and after-school recreation program is also open for registration. However, registration closes once capacity is met. After-school sites include Anderson Elementary, Armstrong Elementary, Austin Elementary, Bozman Intermediate, Creighton Elementary, Patterson Elementary, Reaves Elementary, Runyan Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary and Wilkinson Elementary schools. Students who attend Giesinger Elementary, Rice Elementary and Cryar Intermediate are transported to the Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center. Those attending attending Hope Elementary and Milam Elementary are transported to Creighton Elementary via Conroe ISD transportation, and those attending Travis will be escorted over to Sam Houston, according to information from the city.
The before-school program will be offered to students at Anderson, Armstrong, BB Rice, Bozman, Cryar, Geisinger, Patterson, Reaves, Runyan, Sam Houston, Travis and Wilkinson schools.
