Jan. 27: Win a cornhole tournament

The Shout House Sports Bar and Restaurant in Conroe is hosting a Friday night Cornhole Tournament. Guests of all ages can participate in the tournament and win prizes or watch as bystanders. The Children's Books on Wheels in partnership with the VITA Solutions for Communities is hosting a two-day super tax day kick-off event at two locations to help families with an annual income of $57,000 or less file their taxes. Jan 27-28: Watch a musical production

Jan. 28: Celebrate Chinese New Year

Jan 28-29: Check out exotic reptiles

Herps is bringing the Exotic Reptile and Pet Show is coming to Conroe. Thousands of reptiles, amphibians and inverts, such as snakes, frogs, turtles, lizards, tarantulas, and other exotic pets, feeders and supply will also be available for purchase. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Jan. 28), 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Jan. 29). $5 (kids), $12 (adults). Jan. 29: Learn about life in the ‘past’ lane

The Montgomery County Historical Commission is hosting the 10th annual History Road Rally in historical Montgomery. The event includes an exciting scavenger hunt for family and friends to learn about local community history. Teams of two to six have two hours to solve written clues of the history of East Montgomery County by driving to various historic sites in the area, writing down the answers to the clues found at each site, photographing the site to confirm they went to the site and then returning to the church within two hours.
