With all 57 election precincts reporting, nine of 15 proposed city of Conroe charter amendments passed, according to unofficial voting results from Montgomery County. Per the voting results:
- Propositions B, F, G, H, I, J, K, L and O passed
- Propositions A, C, D, E, M and N failed

Nine out of 15 proposed charter amendments are projected to passed, according to unofficial Montgomery County results. Propositions passed include:
- Proposition B: requires an agenda item requested by the mayor or any two members of council to be placed on the regular agenda
- Proposition F: compensation for the mayor shall not exceed $400 per month and $300 per month for a City Council member and any approved increase in compensation shall not be effective for any council member during the term they were elected or appointed
- Proposition G: specifies that the mayor and individual City Council members have no authority to act except in their legislative capacity as part of the entire council and that they have no individual authority to direct administrative activities
- Proposition H: in times of disaster, the mayor shall serve as the emergency management director
- Proposition I: no candidates for mayor and City Council members shall be eligible to be a candidate for or appointed to office unless they have completed the required financial certifications on or before filing for office, as per state law
- Proposition J: each actively serving City Council member and the mayor are eligible to participate in the city’s health benefits at the same cost as employees
- Proposition K: alters how citizens can recall elected officials by raising the threshold to 15%, calculated from the last general city election
- Proposition L: a petition for recall to be signed by qualified voters of the city equal to at least 15% of the number of qualified voters registered to vote at the last general city election
- Proposition O: limits the city’s ability to take on debt without voter approval

According to unofficial early voting results from Montgomery County, eight city of Conroe propositions are passing, with seven propositions failing. Residents of Conroe were able to cast ballots on 15 proposed amendments to the city charter.
The city charter, originally adopted in 1965, was last updated following an election in May 2014, as previously reported.
Per the proposed charter amendments, among the 15 proposed amendments:
- Proposition A: would shift Conroe to a council-manager system
- Proposition C: addresses how many council members must be present to conduct city business; three council members—or two members and the mayor—cannot meet privately to deliberate city matters
- Proposition H: would limit the mayor’s and council members’ compensation to no more than $400 per month and no more than $300 per month, respectively
- Proposition K: alters how citizens can recall elected officials by raising the threshold to 15%, calculated from the last general city election
- Proposition O: limits the city’s ability to take on debt without voter approval
What else?
In early voting, there were 34,350 ballots cast countywide, which represents 7.38% of registered voters, as previously reported.
Totals from ballots cast Nov. 4 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
