Nicole May, Lindsay Dawson, Melissa Semmler and Marianne Horton took early leads in the races for four Conroe ISD board of trustees seats, according to unofficial voting results from Montgomery County.

What you need to know
  • In the race for trustee, Position 4, May leads incumbent Datren Williams with 57,112 votes compared to Williams' 40,794 votes, according to unofficial voting results. Candidate Jamison Gentle received 5,167 votes.
  • Meanwhile, Lindsay Dawson leads opponents Kristin Guardino and Josh Webb in the race for Position 5, with 48,203 votes, while Guardino received 16,775 votes and Webb received 36,777 votes.
  • In the race for Position 6, Melissa Semmler, with 46,298 votes, leads incumbent Stacey Chase and opponent Scott Buzbee. Chase received 38,848 votes, and Buzbee received 15,852 votes.
  • For Position 7, Marianne Horton is leading John Robichau with 62,245 votes to 39,022 votes, according to unofficial voting results.

A total of 11 candidates, including two incumbents, are running for four CISD board positions.

The winner of each race in the CISD board of trustees election is determined by a plurality of the votes, and there are no runoff elections if the candidate with the most votes receives less than 50% of the total, said Sarah Blakelock, CISD’s executive director of communications.
