Voters in the Conroe and Montgomery area will have the opportunity to make their voices heard on several federal, state and local elections on the ballot in the Nov. 5 general election.

What residents should know

Voters should note the following dates of importance in the upcoming Nov. 5 general election:
  • Oct. 21: First day of early voting
  • Oct. 25: Last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked)
  • Nov. 1: Last day of early voting
  • Nov. 5: Election Day and the last day to receive ballot by mail (or Nov. 6 if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at location of election on Election Day)
Voters in Montgomery County can cast their ballot at any polling location during early voting. However, on Election Day, Montgomery County voters will vote at their designated voting precincts. Visit https://elections.mctx.org for polling locations.

Montgomery ISD, Proposition A

Ratifying the ad valorem tax rate of $1.0912 in the Montgomery Independent School District for the current year, a rate that will result in an increase of 11.67 percent in maintenance and operations tax revenue for the district for the current year as compared to the preceding year, which is an additional $6,632,598.

Willis ISD, Proposition A


The issuance of $27 million of bonds for a student activity center and related improvements, and the levy and imposition of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds. This is a property tax increase.

Willis ISD, Proposition B

The issuance of $68.8 million of bonds for an athletic stadium complex and related improvements, and the levy and imposition of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds. This is a property tax increase.

Willis ISD, Proposition C


The issuance of $19.6 million of bonds for an aquatics center and related improvements, and the levy and imposition of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds. This is a property tax increase.

City of Montgomery, Proposition A

The creation of the Montgomery Crime Control and Prevention District dedicated to crime reduction programs, the adoption of a proposed sales and use tax at a rate of 1/4 of 1%, and to maintain the same overall sales tax rate in the City, the reduction of the sales and use tax currently levied by the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation from a rate of 1/2 of 1% to 1/4 of 1%.

Should the term of Office of the Mayor and City Council be extended from two (2) years to four (4) years with a transition of three (3) year terms beginning with the May 2025 elections and four (4) year terms for each subsequent election?
