Dan Crenshaw*

Experience: U.S. Representative for the 2nd District of Texas,, U.S. Navy SEAL, author

Occupation: U.S. Congressman representing the 2nd District of Texas

What experiences and qualifications do you believe make you well-suited for this role?

A former Navy SEAL, and as your Congressman for [District 2], I’ve been fortunate to have a real impact on nearly every major policy issue – fighting back against COVID lockdowns, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, our fight against the cartels, and standing up to Biden’s disastrous border policies and regulatory agenda.

What is the top issue you believe is most critical for your constituents and how do you plan to address it?

We are facing a crisis of record numbers of illegal immigrants crossing our border. Border security, and lack thereof, under the Biden administration, impacts every community. That is why I am pushing for reforms that will stem the flow of illegal immigration and poisonous drugs from entering our country.

What specific initiatives do you propose to stimulate economic growth and job creation within your district?

I am bringing projects to the district, stimulating our economy and bringing jobs. This year, 10 of my requests have made it into appropriations bills and are expected to pass, totaling $26.4 million for TX02. This investment will support infrastructure, economic development, flood control and other water projects.

How do you plan to address the education needs of the district and support local schools and teachers?

I pushed for the reauthorization of the Mental Health Block Grant program and won. This program provides nearly a billion dollars for Texas to deploy federal resources. This is a beacon of hope for our schools, as it addresses the mental health challenges facing young people.

How do you plan to stay connected with the concerns and priorities of the residents of your district, and what avenues will you provide for community input?

When I’m not required to be in Washington, D.C., I travel the district meeting with constituents, community leaders, educators, health care workers and various others. I host events where constituents are invited to join me and ask questions. My team is also here to help with needs regarding federal agencies.

Jameson Ellis

Experience: America First, small-business owner, Constitution Coach, grassroots organizer, fiscal responsibility proponent

Occupation: self-employed

Contact Information: 936-325-7627

What experiences and qualifications do you believe make you well-suited for this role?

My background as a small business owner, Constitution Coach and grassroots organizer equips me with practical economic insight, a deep respect for our founding principles and a commitment to community engagement. These experiences make me a strong advocate for America First policies and a defender of liberty.

What is the top issue you believe is most critical for your constituents and how do you plan to address it?

Government overreach is critical, notably in failing to secure our border. I plan to champion enforcing existing laws, resisting new overreaching legislation and promoting measures that limit government, protect our liberties and end reckless spending.

What specific initiatives do you propose to stimulate economic growth and job creation within your district?

I propose implementing the Fair Tax system to stimulate economic growth. Limiting taxation encourages investment and consumer spending, fostering a more business-friendly environment. This shift will create jobs, boost local businesses and provide financial relief for constituents, driving prosperity throughout our district.

How do you plan to address the education needs of the district and support local schools and teachers?

I support unregulated school choice, ensuring parents' freedom to choose their children's education without government strings. Working with constituents, I plan to form coalitions to advocate for educational liberty and parental rights, working towards an environment where students and teachers can flourish without excessive governmental overreach.

How do you plan to stay connected with the concerns and priorities of the residents of your district, and what avenues will you provide for community input?

My commitment is to be in Washington only for essential votes, spending most of my time in the district. I'll continue actively engaging with constituents through town halls and digital platforms, building coalitions to address local concerns. Continuous connection with community needs and priorities is paramount.
