With all precincts reporting, candidate Robert Walker has secured the spot for Precinct 1 Commissioner, at 58.49%, while Graff has 41.51%. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

"It’s a dream come true," Walker said in a phone interview. "We’ve been here a long time. It means so much to me, so much for our community. I'm just very proud and humbled by the support ... we’ve got great plans for the future."

In his bid to replace retiring Precinct 1 Commissioner Mike Meador, candidate Robert Walker is leading in the Republican primary with 8,409 votes, or 58.82%, against Billy Graff, who has 5,886 votes, or 41.16%, as of 10:18 p.m March 3 with 77 of 100 precincts reporting. All results are unofficial until canvassed.






Walker could not be reached for comment on election night.

With early voting data in, voters showed support for Precinct 1 Commissioner Republican candidate Robert Walker, with 56.84%, or 5,611, voting in favor of Walker and 4,260,or 43.16%, voting for candidate Billy Graff. All results are unofficial until canvassed.



Graff is a local business owner and pastor. He told Community Impact Newspaper his priorities if elected would be changing the county’s spending, hiring and budgeting policies.



A native of Montgomery County, Walker is also a local business owner. He said the biggest issue in Precinct 1 is growth and its effect on crime and community.



The winner of the primary will face Democrat Mike Midler, who is running unopposed, on Nov. 3. Current Precinct 1 Commissioner Mike Meador has served as commissioner since 1993 and was recognized as the county’s longest-serving commissioner Dec. 17. Meador is not running for re-election.
