The Conroe ISD board of trustees will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. May 29 to discuss and interview superintendent search firms as they look for a replacement for departing Superintendent Curtis Null.

The details

The meeting comes after the board named Ted Landry interim superintendent in a 7-0 vote at its May 19 meeting, as previously reported by Community Impact.

"I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to serve Conroe ISD as interim superintendent. I have treasured my time at The Woodlands High School and look forward to continuing to serve the Conroe ISD community," Landry said in a May 20 statement.

Landry is currently serving as principal of The Woodlands High School, according to the district’s website.

The decision comes after CISD Superintendent Curtis Null was named the lone finalist in the search for the Lake Travis ISD superintendent at a special meeting of the LTISD board of trustees May 1.

What else

On May 27, CISD held a reception for Null at the Jett Center in Shenandoah where district staff and community members were able to wish him good luck at his new district. LTISD formally approved Null as superintendent for that district in a May 22 special meeting. Null will start the position June 2.
