Conroe ISD board trustees approved the guaranteed maximum prices for several projects during its Oct. 15 meeting.

The board approved the guaranteed maximum price for the following ongoing projects presented by Assistant Superintendent Chris McCord.
  • $43.8 million for the Ford and Creighton Elementary schools’ additions and renovations done by Tellepsen Builders
  • $39.72 million for the Hailey and Buckalew Elementary schools’ additions and renovations done by Tellepsen Builders
  • $23.81 million for the Knox Junior High School renovation done by Satterfield & Pontikes Construction
“I just want to say how excited I am about the Knox Junior High renovations. They have been due for a while and I look forward to seeing how we create a much brighter and just a more exciting learning experience,” trustee Theresa Wagaman said.

What else?

McCord gave an update to the board on several projects.


The campus renovations for Conroe High School and the tennis court at the ninth-grade campus are anticipated to be completed by the end of the 2024-25 fiscal year.

McCord also highlighted how the construction of new campuses is going, with W. Robert Eissler Elementary School and Mittie J. Campbell Elementary School both set to open in August 2025.
