The design for Montgomery ISD’s stadium revamp is tentatively expected to be complete by October, according to an Aug. 28 email from district leaders.

The project

The total cost for renovations to MISD’s stadium have not been announced, but the project will be funded by the district’s $326.9 million bond, which was passed by voters in May 2022.

According to an Aug. 28 email from Brad Mansfield, MISD’s chief facilities & operations officer, the stadium project includes:
  • An added elevator
  • Expanded seating capacity
  • More restrooms and locker rooms
  • Concessions upgrades
  • Press box upgrades
  • New turf
The timeline

Construction on the project is tentatively slated to start in November and wrap up by late August 2025, Mansfield said.

What else?

The city of Montgomery is in charge of permitting for MISD’s stadium renovation project, Mansfield said. On Aug. 13, City Council approved the creation of an escrow account for the project so the district could pay for the cost of the city engineer's review of the civil site plans, according to the agenda packet.
