Lone Star College leaders have chosen the college system’s new vice chancellor of administration and finance, according to a Feb. 6 LCS news release.

Kristy Vienne, who has been serving as interim vice chancellor of administration and finance since November, began her duties in the role on Feb. 5, according to the news release. In her new position, Vienne will captain the college system’s finance and administration division.

“Her qualifications to take over an increasingly operational role are well documented,” LSC Chancellor Mario Castillo said in a statement.

According to the release, duties of Vienne’s division include overseeing:
  • Construction and facilities
  • Budgeting and planning
  • Payroll
  • Auxiliary services
  • Procurement for the college system
“I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working with Chancellor Castillo and the chancellor’s cabinet to ensure our students have the tools needed to be successful,” Vienne said in a statement.

Prior to working for LSC, Vienne worked as an administrator at Sam Houston State University and also worked at Northwestern State University, according to the release. She holds a Ph.D. of education from SHSU.
