The attendance zone boundary associated with the 2022 opening of Annette Gordon-Reed Elementary School was approved by Conroe ISD board of trustees Jan. 18. According to the district, the attendance boundary change will affect 557 students.

CISD Assistant Superintendent of Operations Chris McCord said the district developed 27 different attendance boundary options and received input from the community before recommending the final boundary plan to the board of trustees.

“One thing I wanted to do was to meet the needs and goals of what our community set out to do but do it by impacting the least number of children that we possibly could,” McCord said during the meeting.

Opening for the 2022-23 school year, the new elementary school will have a capacity of 950 students, according to the district. The campus is located in the Conroe High School feeder zone at 2045 McCaleb Road, Montgomery.
