Matt Fuller and Gary Hammons were sworn in as new trustee members on the Montgomery ISD board at the May 21 meeting, following their victories in the May local elections. Fuller takes on Place 6 and Hammons fills Place 7. “I’m excited to get to work. We’ve got a great team on the board and a great team in the administration, and we’re ready to get to work and see what’s next for Montgomery," Fuller said after the meeting. MISD plans to have its annual budget meetings this June, according to Fuller, following a $6.9 million budget gap in the 2018-19 school year.
