In anticipation of inclement weather due to Hurricane Harvey this weekend, Conroe ISD and Willis ISD officials have announced district-wide closures for Friday, Aug. 25.

Montgomery ISD has also announced it will release students early on Friday. The district will release 6th-12th grade students at 11:30a.m. and Pre-Kindergarten-5th grade students at 1:00 p.m.

CISD Director of Communications Sarah Blakelock released a statement from the district Thursday night:

"In accordance with all other Houston area school districts, Conroe ISD will be closed on Friday, and all activities are canceled. This allows time for families and local officials to make preparations for the storm. Only essential personnel performing critical operations should report on Friday. A decision about school being in session on Monday will be made on Sunday. Updates will be posted on the District’s website, Facebook, and Twitter."

Willis ISD officials said a decission regarding school on Monday will be made by 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
