Panicafe is an international cafe chain with locations throughout Spain and Argentina. Over the last five years, the company has brought the classic European-style cafe and tearoom to Texas, with locations found in Spring, Montgomery and The Woodlands, Manager Florence Rossini said.
What's special about it?
Rossini said she studied and worked as a pastry chef, and now serves as the manager at Panicafe. When asked what draws customers to Panicafe, Rossini emphasised the freshly baked food and the comforting atmosphere the cafe offers.
“It's really comfort food made in a healthy way. Our customers are 95% women, so it's a lot of what women want when they have lunch, have a conversation with a friend, or come for a treat,” Rossini said. “Everything is thought about, not extremely sweet, always concentrating on quality taste and experience that you get when you're at Pani.”
What's on the menu
Panicafe has a wide variety of options for both breakfast and lunch. Rossini says the two popular breakfast items are the Croissant O Medialuna and the French toast.
“Our signature item is a Medialuna. Medialuna is a croissant that we made in-house. It’s originally from South America and Chile, but in here it's a little bit on the bigger side because in Texas, all things are bigger, so of course we got to do it bigger in here,” Rossini said.
Panicafe’s Medialinas come in a variety of flavors, including egg & cheese, ham & cheese, avocado, salmon or vegetarian. As for lunch, the Panicafe club sandwich and the chicken salad are customer favorites, Rossini said.
All three locations offer customers a variety of coffee and tea options to sample. However, the tearooms are the most popular attraction, Rossini said, who credits the classic European tea experience with helping customers relax.
“If they want to have a true experience of communication and sharing time with another friend or a family member, this is actually the perfect place to come because not only is the vibe so elegant, but it also relaxes you,” Rossini said. “You get to spend time, you get to talk, you get to get out of the rush of everyday.”
