Owners Thelma Portillo and Dennis Ubeda opened The Wheel Kitchen Cafe on July 19 at 1905 Longmire Road, Conroe. Portillo said the cafe offers espresso-based drinks, fresh juices and tea with the coffee menu hand-roasted by a roaster in Spring.

The Wheel Kitchen Cafe is an extension of The Wheel Kitchen, a Tomball cafe that opened in October 2016.

The Conroe cafe offers a smaller selection of its farm-to-table classic menu items, such as traditional breakfast, a Buddha bowl and a Mediterranean chicken sandwich. Muffins, banana bread and stuffed dinner rolls are baked fresh daily.
