J. Alan Kent Development, a Houston-based developer, has acquired two tracts of land totaling 411 acres located on FM 1097 in Montgomery, according to a July 17 news release. The land, close to Lake Conroe, is directly across from the master-planned community Bentwater.
The details
The company’s plan is to develop a single-family residential community featuring 1,000-1,200 lots on the land, according to the release. The development will provide any future residents access to Montgomery ISD, according to the release.
“We are very excited to have procured this beautiful and pristine property. Previously owned by a timber company for many years, we feel it is perfectly suited to complement the well-established residential gated and golf course community of Bentwater,” J. Alan Kent said in the release.
One more thing
Newcor, a real estate company based in The Woodlands that focuses on brokerage, represented J. Alan Kent Development in the acquisition.
“[Newcor looks] forward to seeing J. Alan Kent’s development come to fruition and its positive impact on the Montgomery community,” the release states.
