Buffalo Springs, an 800-acre master-planned property near Montgomery, has experienced massive residential growth for more than a decade, owner Philip LeFevere said..

LeFevre said the third section, Lake Creek Village, contains 22 half-acre patio home lots and is near completion.

Showcase Quality Homes owner Barrett Mitchell said homes will be a minimum of 2,300 square feet and will be on the market in early 2018.  SQH sells homes in the property.

The development has 350 acres still available, and LaFevre said he anticipates rapid growth because of incoming retail developments nearby. Commercial projects along
Hwy. 105 and Lone Star Parkway, such as Kroger Marketplace and McCoy’s Building Supply, are under construction.

The next wave of builders are developers from large metropolitan cities, LeFevre said, adding he has seen interest from Houston developers wanting to build lodges, and assisted-living and independent-living communities.

“People are wanting to downsize and come to a city like Montgomery where they can relax, ride on a golf cart, get around the city and be close to restaurants and shopping,” he said.
