Development of the Woodforest community continues with construction of Pine Island, a luxury estate community of about 150 homes.
Construction of the 100-acre gated community started in April and features multiple districts. Each district is composed of executive and custom homes built with an architectural emphasis on European romantic, Colonial and turn of the century Charleston design, according to developer Johnson Development Corp.
Located by the west nine holes of Woodforest Golf Club, Pine Island has been master-planned to feature tree-lined boulevards, rear alleyways, multiple green spaces with formal gardens, playgrounds and walkable neighborhood gathering spots, according Johnson Development Corp.
“Home buyers are seeking more than just a home in today’s market, they want a lifestyle,” Woodforest General Manager Virgil Yoakum said. “Having an abundance of green space and upscale amenities is reflective of the neighborhood and sets expectations of the type of lifestyle residents can enjoy.”
Homebuilders include Tipler Design and Build, Jeff Paul Custom Homes and Sterling Classic Homes. The first 20 properties available for sale in the community’s estate district will include half-acre home sites, several of which border the Woodforest Golf Club.
