Eight deaths related to COVID-19 were reported in Montgomery County on Aug. 10, according to the Montgomery County Public Health District.

Seven of the individuals had comorbidities, or the presence of another chronic disease, in addition to testing positive for COVID-19. The report on comorbidities was not available for the eighth individual as of Aug. 10, according to MCPHD. All of the individuals were over the age of 50, and all of them died in the hospital, except for one who died in hospice care.

Meanwhile, total active cases decreased by 36 since Aug. 7, reaching 1,800—the lowest total since July 14.

Of the active cases, 48 residents are known to be in the hospital. However, contact investigations have not been conducted on all cases. Meanwhile, an additional 105 people recovered since Aug. 7, bringing the total to 4,592.

Total cases increased by 77 to 6,654 since Aug. 7.





There are 133 total patients in Montgomery County hospitals, with 40 in ICU and 93 in general beds.
