Montgomery County's active coronavirus case count continues to climb, reaching 2,597 as of July 27, according to a daily case count released by the Montgomery County Public Health District. Of these, 990 have an unconfirmed status, 1,542 are in self-isolation and 65 are hospitalized. Total cases now stand at 5,780 as of July 27, an increase of 183 since July 24.
The county also confirmed the 54th death related to COVID-19: a woman in her 70s from Spring with comordities who died in the hospital.
There are 185 total COVID-19 patients in Montgomery County hospitals, with 55 in ICU beds and 130 in general beds.
