The Montgomery County Public Health District confirmed three additional deaths related to COVID-19 on June 8. A woman in her 60s from New Caney died in a hospital. Two other women, both in their 90s from Porter, also died in a hospital. This brings the total deaths up to 31.
However, the number of active cases decreased to 440 on June 8, compared to 442 on June 5, when the county last reported the data. That number includes 10 hospitalizations and 619 people who have fully recovered. The number of total positive cases has increased by 26 since June 5 to 1,090.
