1. Conroe Holiday Classic Dog Show

Conroe Kennel Club's annual dog show features specialty breed events and exhibitions Friday, conformation and obedience exhibitions Saturday and Sunday, and cat trials all three days. Free. 2. Light up the Park

Montgomery Civic Association is hosting Light up the Park at Cedar Brake Park, where local residents and businesses signed up ahead of time to decorate a light pole. Entry is free, and judges will award prizes at the event on Dec. 1. Cedar Brake Park, Hwy. 105, Montgomery. 936-597-5004.

3. Holiday Santa event
Dec. 1

4. Golden Girls Winter Workshop

8. Christmas in Montgomery County
