Although there are no city council or commissioners court meetings this week in Conroe or Montgomery, there are plenty of events happening in and around Montgomery County.

Wine & Food Week
June 5-11
The Woodlands annual & Food Week takes place this week, May 5-11, with an event lineup filled to the brim. Here is an overview of the schedule:
•    June 6: It’s A Guy Thing (7-10 p.m.)
•    June 7: Women, Wine & All Things Fashionable (6 p.m.-9 p.m.)
•    June 8: H-E-B Wine Walk at Market Street (5-8:30 p.m.)
•    June 9: Ladies of the Vine Tasting, Panel & Luncheon (noon- 3 p.m.)
•    June 9: Sips, Suds & Tacos (6-9 p.m.)
•    June 10-11: Art & Wine on the Waterway (1-3 p.m.)
•    June 10: The Wine Rendezvous Grant Tasting & Chef Showcase (7-10 p.m.)

The Heartworm Foundation fundraiser
June 6
Twenty percent of each meal ticket at Russo’s New York Pizzeria in The Woodlands will benefit The Heartworm Foundation, a nonprofit that raises money to help rescue organizations and animal shelters provide heartworm treatment to animals in need. In addition to the spirit night, dine-in or carry out orders will be included in the fundraiser all day when customers show the event flyer. 5-8 p.m. Free. Hank & Patsy
June 9
