UPDATED: Road closures remain Friday evening in Montgomery County due to Tropical Storm Imelda

As of 5 p.m. Sept. 20, the following roads were reported impassable due to high water or as passable using caution, according to an update from the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management:

  • 13500 block of Moorehead Road
  • I-45 and Crighton Road
  • Hwy. 59 and FM 2090
  • First Street and Hill and Dale Avenue
  • Birnham Woods Drive and Imperial Promenade Drive
  • Dam Site Road (the access road to the San Jacinto River Authority)
  • FM 3083 and Bo Wood
  • FM 1485 at Caney Creek Bridge
  • Gene Campbell Road and FM 1485
  • Gene Campbell Road at Nichols Lane
  • Grand Parkway at Imperial Promenade Drive
  • Hwy. 59 and Creekwood Drive
  • Idle Glen Roadway
  • Moorehead Road and Johnson
  • Morgan Cemetery and Fostoria Road
  • Old Hwy. 105 E at Daw Collins Road
  • Old Hwy. 105 at Hopson Road
  • River Plantation Drive
  • South Essex Drive and San Jacinto Drive
  • South Navasota Drive
  • Twin Oaks Road and Main Street

In addition to closures on Friday, New Caney ISD has also announced it will remain closed Monday, Sept. 23. According to an announcement from Conroe ISD, all CISD campuses and offices will reopen Monday, Sept. 23, with the exception of Caney Creek High School, which will be closed for repairs and reopen Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Lone Star College System properties will also remain closed this weekend, LSCS officials announced.
