Starting on Monday, Sept. 10, Conroe residents will be able to access more local services and amenities with the launch of Conroe Connection Transit’s new bus route, according to a Aug. 24 news release.

The fixed bus route is expanding its north route and south route to include a joint northeast route and west route. The routes will operate 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, running on a two-hour loop, according to the Conroe Transportation Department.

The new joint route will begin by heading west, taking riders to the Montgomery County Central Library, the new park-and-ride lot on FM 2854, Tri-County Behavioral Healthcare and the U.S. Social Security Office, to name a few.

The bus will arrive back at the transfer center, or Booker T. Washington Park, prior to 8 a.m., and then it will depart for the northeast route at 8 a.m. The northeast route will make 11 stops, including at Texas Health and Human Services, the Texas Department of Assistive & Rehabilitation Services, Lone Star College-Conroe Center and H-E-B.
