From city meetings to networking events, there is a lot to do in Conroe and Montgomery this week. Here is what you need to know: Montgomery County Commissioner’s Court meets on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Montgomery County Commissioner’s Court will host its regular meeting and a workshop for the fiscal year 2017-18 budget on July 25 at the Montgomery County Commissioners Court Building, 501 N. Thompson, Conroe. The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday following the regular meeting, and could continue on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday if needed.  To view the agenda, visit www.mctx.org.   Montgomery City Council meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. City council members meet on Tuesday evening to consider various agenda items at Montgomery City Hall, 101 Old Plantersville Road. Topics include an update on the repairs and financing to the Buffalo Springs bridge, as well as scheduling a public hearing for the Cozy Grape Wine Bar and Bistro to allow the business to sell mixed alcoholic beverages. The council will also meet Thursday, July 27 at 6 p.m. for a budget workshop meeting. To view the agenda, visit www.montgomerytexas.gov.   Conroe City Council meets Wednesday and Thursday Conroe City Council meets this week to discuss agenda items, including annexations by Municipal Utility Districts of surrounding properties, a grant contract authorizing infrastructure funding to support affordable housing, as well as amendments to sections of the city’s FY 2016-2017 budget. The council meets at 2 p.m. July 26 for the work session and reconvene at 6 p.m. July 27 for the action agenda at Conroe City Hall Chambers, 300 West Davis St. Citizens can address the council at the start of the action agenda. The event serves as a business networking opportunity for all community members. To coincide with the theme, guests are encouraged to dress in garb from their favorite decade. Four dinner tickets to Lobsterfest will be awarded to the winner of the costume contest.
