The Home Depot, a worldwide hardware store chain, opened in Montgomery Oct. 24.

The opening of the store will bring over 130 jobs to the area and the store is continuing to hire, according to an Oct. 14 news release.

The new 108,000-square-foot store is one of 11 stores The Home Depot is opening in 2024, according to the release.

  • A tool rental center
  • Ability to rent online and pick up in store

The background

The business first proposed the location in June 2023, Community Impact reported. The Home Depot signed an economic development agreement with Montgomery City Council in October 2023 and broke ground on the location last December.
