The new store is nearly 108,000 square feet and will employ 130 people, with hiring ongoing, according to the news release. Among other features, customers can expect the store to have an appliances showroom, a tool rental center and the capacity to rent online and pick up in-store.
How we got here
The retailer first proposed its Montgomery location in June 2023, according to prior reporting. After signing an economic development agreement with Montgomery City Council last October, The Home Depot broke ground on this location last December.
