Sylvan Learning has a new location in north Conroe, according to a March 19 news release. The new location is owned and operated by Renitta and Clarence Thomas.

The Thomases have been educators for over 20 years, and share a commitment to serving their local community and a passion for helping students succeed, according to the news release. Clarence Thomas also served in the U.S. Marines.

“Sylvan transformed [our son’s] confidence in the classroom and helped him discover a passion for learning,” Renitta Thomas said via news release. “We believe in what Sylvan can do for other students in our community because we’ve witnessed it firsthand with our son. We’re proud to own a business with purpose and to open the doors in north Conroe.”

The learning center gives each student a personalized, trackable plan to help them achieve their educational goals, according to the news release.

“We’re excited to open our doors in north Conroe and provide a one-stop, all-subject resource to support students through every stage of their academic journey,” Sylvan CEO John McAuliffe said via news release. “Whether a student needs help catching up or advancing their skill set, Sylvan is here to help. I am extremely confident there is no one better to lead this center than Renitta and Clarence.”
