What we reported In April, Southern Star Brewery relocated to 3525 N. Frazier St., Conroe. The brewery is open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and offers a wide range of craft beers.
The latest Four times a year, owner Dave Fougeron partners with local artists to create the Art Can Series, a four-pack of beer featuring the artist’s design on the can. The brewery will soon release the first Art Can Series of the year: the Half Nelson IPA.
What’s next Typically, the Art Can Series features only local artists, but this year a Romanian band called Nugura Buncet designed the art for a beer. On April 14, Nugura Buncet will perform at Southern Star Brewery to celebrate the beer’s release.
