July 1: Go to a freedom festival

The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a freedom festival to celebrate the Fourth of July, which also includes a parade. Parade participants can use Jeeps, cars, horses or wagons. No long trailers are allowed. Three awards will be given for best overall, best theme and best spirit. There will also be a kids zone and vendors. Preregistration is required for parade participants.July 2: Listen to a concert at Margaritaville

Singer Abby Anderson will be performing at Margaritaville as part of a summer night concert series at the resort. According to Total PR, Anderson is a country singer known for her pop melodies. Drinks will be available for purchase.July 2: Enjoy a winery tour


The Lake Conroe Winery Tour takes attendees to three wineries near Lake Conroe: Bernhardt Winery, Blue Epiphany and H-Wines. The winery package includes transportation to the three wineries, one full glass of wine at each winery, a Bernhardt Winery souvenir glass, a commemorative Texas Brewery Tours souvenir tote bag and a hangover kit.
