Breaking Strongholds, a faith-based mystery drama, will premiere its first two episodes April 16 in Montgomery, which is the show's film location. There will be four episodes total, with the first one releasing on YouTube and Pure Flix on April 30 and the remaining episodes airing on the following Saturdays.
Terry Weaver, marketing and development director and actor in the show, said the production studio began thinking about doing a TV series after releasing a movie called “We Are Stronger” in 2018. Weaver said the company wanted to create a TV show that addresses spiritual strongholds, such as depression and abandonment, and entertains while teaching about faith.
“The show centers around breaking spiritual strongholds, and we believe that there's really only one way to do that, and that's through faith, and prayer, and believing in Christ,” Weaver said. “We show this town in chaos, and we show strongholds being broken and broken through faith. I think that's important because of the time that we're living in and ... we need hope.”
The April 16 premiere will be held at 14420 Liberty St., Montgomery, at 3:30 p.m. with the first two episodes screening as well as tours of film locations in Montgomery. The event is free, but attendees must register online at www.breakingstrongholds.com.
