Montgomery County is holding its 65th annual Fair and Rodeo on March 25 through April 3 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, located at 9201 Airport Road in Conroe. There are a number of things attendees should know, including parking, ticket costs and event information.

Fair times: Mon.-Thu. 4–11 p.m., Fri. 4 p.m.–midnight, Sat. 11 a.m.–midnight, Sun. noon–11 p.m.

El Dia De La Familia Hispana: Noon-midnight


Carnival: Mon.-Thu. 4-11 p.m.; Fri. 4 p.m.-midnight; Sat. 11 a.m.-midnight; Sun. (March 27) noon-11 p.m., (April 3) noon-midnight

General parking cost: $5 online, cash only on-site




Ticket pricing

General admission tickets for March 25-April 2 are $10 online for ages 12 and older and $5 for children ages 5-11. Tickets at the gate are $15 for ages 12 and older. Kids younger than 5 get in free.



For El Dia De La Familia Hispana admission on April 3, attendees ages 12 and up pay $20 online and $25 at the gate. Kids 11 and under get free admission.

Single day passes for the carnival are $35 Fridays through Sundays. Fun passes that are good for all 10 days are $86, and school discounted passes are $25, Monday through Thursday and must have a school coupon which is good for only one day.

Concerts


These are included with general admission:




  • Kody West: March 25, 9:30 p.m.

  • Sammy Kershaw & Aaron Tippin: March 26, 9:30 p.m.



Rodeos

Youth Rodeo: March 25-27, 3-6 p.m.

Some events taking place include goat ribbon pulling and stick horse racing.

CPRA Rodeo: March 25-26, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.



This is sanctioned by the Cowboy’s Professional Rodeo Association, which will follow the youth rodeo.

Ranch Rodeo: March 27, 1:30-6 p.m.

Taking place after the rodeo will be a new, double mugging event.

Love Street Blonde Barbecue Cook-off

Held on the second weekend of the fair from March 31-April 3, the cook-off includes events such as a cornhole tournament, award ceremony and live entertainment.

El Dia de La Familia Hispana

This event will conclude the fair and rodeo with performances by:

Other things to do

The carnival will have rides, games and food.

Adults shows and award ceremonies will be held with cash prizes for various categories. Judging will be held March 27 from 1-2:30 p.m..

Livestock judging takes place at 9 a.m. March 30.

The junior nonlivestock auction is 7 p.m. March 28.
