There are several events taking place in Conroe and Montgomery this weekend, March 17-19, including the fifth annual Chalk-Up Conroe event, live music and opening of a new play by The Players Theatre Company.

The Three Musketeers
March 17-18
The Players Theatre Company presents this dramatic comedy take on the Alexandre Dumas novel of the same name, which takes place in Paris in 1625 and follows the journey of musketeer D’Artgnan as he seeks to defend the honor of the Queen of France. Potluck lunch and bingo day
March 17
Participants bring a dish of their choice to contribute to the potluck lunch and then play bingo afterward to compete for prizes. The event takes place the third Friday of every month, and participants are encouraged to donate miscellaneous items to be used as future bingo prizes. 12:15-2 p.m. Free. Chalk-Up Conroe
March 18
The fifth annual event showcases individual, family and organization creativity through sidewalk chalk masterpieces in Downtown Conroe. The event was founded by local artist and teacher Lynn Peverill and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place at the conclusion of the event. Chalk supplies, breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt will be provided to artists for free. 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. Founder’s Plaza, 205 Metcalf Street, Conroe. 936-499-6091. www.experiencedowntownconroe.com

Parents Night Out
March 18
Parents enjoy a night out while children ages 3-12 spend the evening at the Conroe Family YMCA playing games, making crafts, watching movies and eating snacks. Children must be potty trained and pre-registration is required. Dinner is not included. 6 p.m.-10 p.m. $10 (members), $5 per additional child (members), $15 (program members), $10 per additional child (program members).
