Participate in Run Thru the Woods and work up a Thanksgiving appetite, Nov. 22 Celebrate Thanksgiving morning by taking part in this annual tradition. Now in its 29th year, this YMCA event supports non-profits in The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge North. Registration ends Nov. 21st. Give back with the Thanksgiving Truck Team, Nov. 22 The Abundant Harvest and St. Isidore Episcopal Church will host their annual community meal for Thanksgiving. Volunteers are needed to serve the food. Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and a hat. Volunteers younger than 18 years old must show proof of parental permission. Learn how to ice skate at The Woodlands Town Center, Nov. 24-25 The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center opened Nov. 17 and will remain open until Jan. 21. There is ice skating in the main room, a state-of-the-art sound system and tables for parties and concessions. Helmets and children’s skate trainers are also available. The Ice Rink is closed Thanksgiving and Nov. 23, but will reopen Nov. 24. 3-11 p.m. $5-$12.50.
