D1 Sports Training opened on Business 249 in Tomball on Oct. 1.[/caption] D1 Sports Training opened on Oct. 1 at 28120 Business 249, Tomball. The 12,00-square-foot training facility is the first D1 Sports Training in the Greater Houston area and co-owned by Tomball Regional Medical Center. The facility offers professional training programs and boot camps, including those related to speed, agility, strength, cardio, weight loss and injury prevention, for ages 7 and up. "A facility where everyone can receive expert training in a motivating and positive environment can do wonders," Tomball D1 General Manager Angie Lederer said in a release. "The training we are delivering to youth athletes today was only for college and pro athletes 10 years ago. We are pushing the boundaries of sports performance everyday." The training facility includes an indoor turf field, pro-style weight room, outdoor training grounds and locker rooms.
