Voters in the Richmond area will have the opportunity to cast their ballots in several races this November, including the Lamar Consolidated ISD bond election, the Fort Bend County mobility bond and several statewide amendments.

Fort Bend County mobility bond election
Voters will be presented with a proposed $218.6 million mobility bond, which includes 63 projects across the county's four precincts. The bond is not expected to affect the county’s property tax rate, according to county officials. The total cost of the 63 projects is $388.1 million, according to county documents. The county expects to cover 56.2 percent of the project costs and plans to partner with other developers to cover the remaining costs.

Lamar Consolidated ISD bond election
The district called for a $445.4 million bond election to fund new schools and land purchases, technology, interior improvements, athletics, fine arts and food service upgrades, among other items. The average home in the district worth $231,000 would potentially see an estimated tax increase of $98 annually after all bonds have been issued. Depending on property value growth, the effects on the tax rate could differ.
