What makes you a qualified candidate for Magnolia City Council?

Life experience. I am a concerned citizen of the community. I have attended City Council meetings since 2006. I served on the Planning Commission. I worked as a volunteer for the first Hometown Christmas and the first Music Festival. I own a residence in the city. I have been active in the Homeowner's Association where I live. I have numerous acquaintances and friends in the community and have attended city functions. I have the time to devote and the desire to help Magnolia become all that it can be.

If re-elected, what would your top priorities be as a council member for Magnolia City Council?

My top priorities would include but not be limited to—listening to the people and addressing their concerns and needs, work for the benefit of the citizens, do whatever it takes to promote the city, hold those in charge accountable for their actions, elevate the city employees in the minds of the citizens of Magnolia by making them aware of their dedication to the city.

How would you help plan for future growth in the city if elected?

Talk to as many business owners as possible to encourage them to start businesses or move existing businesses to Magnolia. Make them aware of the many opportunities that exist here. Promoting the benefit to families who are potential new residents to our city. Encourage existing businesses to make an effort to beautify their storefronts and grounds by repairing, painting and planting.

What are some of the major issues facing the city, and how do you plan to address these issues if re-elected?

At the present time traffic. Our roads are in need of repair. I'm not sure how I can address this issue. As a council member I can investigate and explore problems to act in a more fiduciary responsible position.

In what ways do you see yourself as an advocate for who you will represent if re-elected?

Simply by listening to the people.
