Owners Robert Gazdek and Rick Cantu plan to open Crafthouse Grill at Lakewood Towne Square in late April or May. The restaurant will offer traditional American fare—including craft burgers and beer—in a relaxing neighborhood environment. The restaurant will also feature outdoor patio space and historical decor from Houston and Cypress.
The owners have each been in the restaurant business in the Houston area for more than 25 years, having worked at every position from dishwasher to manager.
“We’ve been talking about this for years, and now we’re finally getting the opportunity to do it,” Gazdek said. “We’re going to be very hands-on.”

Ginza Japanese Restaurant has been operating on Grant Road since December 2015. The restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine and fresh sushi for dine-in and takeout.
House special rolls include the cowboy roll—made with shrimp tempura and spicy crabmeat, topped with filet mignon—and the marina bay roll, made with tuna, salmon and mango, topped with spicy salmon and sliced avocado.
Other menu items include soups, salads, fried rice and stir-fried noodles. Entrees include chicken, shrimp, steak and salmon teriyaki, as well as chicken, shrimp and vegetable tempura.
The restaurant also offers outdoor patio seating and a happy hour menu featuring nigiri, sushi rolls and appetizers, such as fried calamari and shrimp tempura, at discount prices. Happy hour runs from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
