Concierge services across the country have adopted the motto, “If it’s legal, moral and ethical, we’ll do it,” according to Amy Lynch, owner of A thru Z Errands in Cypress. Lynch said she has taken this to heart since launching her business last October.

A thru Z Errands offers a range of services, including grocery and dry cleaning pickup, pet sitting, bringing vehicles in for inspections and checking on homes when residents are out of town. Lynch also specializes in non-medical senior care, assisting with clients’ laundry, meals, bills and organization, among other services.

Lynch said she started the business because she identifies with different populations in the community, from the professional constantly traveling for work to the single mom trying to simultaneously care for her children and aging parents. She said her clientele is anyone who needs a little extra time.

“All these people don’t need a full-time assistant, but they just need some help,” Lynch said. “I don’t think any task is too big or too small.”

Headquartered in Cypress, the business serves northwest Houston, including Katy, Spring, Tomball and Waller.

During the holiday season, Lynch said she will be out in the community picking up last-minute gifts and helping families prepare for guests.

“Last year on Christmas Eve, I was driving to pick up a customer’s catering order,” she said. “She was christening her baby that day, she had a high-power job and she was just overwhelmed. But her favorite lasagna was in Humble.”

With a technology sales background that was all about customization, Lynch said she veers away from “cookie cutter” care and personalizes services for each customer.

“Not only do my customers get to know what I do better, but they give me ideas of other ways I can help people,” she said. “If [a service] is not listed, just ask. The answer will probably be ‘Yes.’”
