A second location of
Southern Divas Boutique opened Saturday in Lakewood Town Square, 12784 Grant Road, Cypress. With brands like the Southern Divas Boutique label and Simply Southern Tees, the boutique specializes in women’s clothing while also selling home decor, shoes, jewelry and purses, among other accessories.
The new 1,800-square-foot shop will be the second Greater Houston area location for mother-daughter duo Melinda Strain and Erika Zielinski, who own and operate the business.
Zielinski said they started out doing craft shows from their dining room in the Cypress area seven years ago. When the Katy location opened, the boutique's original customers from the Cypress area were having to travel there to shop. The Cypress store gives those customers a place to shop closer to home, Zielinski said.
"The new location feels like coming home to family," she said.
