Adriatic Cafe finished an expansion project in late March.[/caption]

Owners Alban Bulliqi and Ekrem Hyseni celebrated the completion of an expansion project early March at Adriatic Cafe and Italian Grill, 17402 Hwy. 290, Jersey Village.

The project, which began in January, involved expanding into vacant space next door, giving the owners space to add 10 tables to the dining area. Surging business made expanding a priority, Bulliqi said.

"The restaurant had been filling up for lunches and dinners with wait lines starting to form," Bulliqi said. "The expansion came just in time."

Throughout the growth, Bulliqi and Hyseni have remained active in the kitchen, where they double as the head chefs. The restaurant offers a variety of pasta dishes, calzones and newer gluten-free options. 713-983-6565. www.adriaticcafe.com
