For the week of June 22, construction on “Big 6” will have multiple mainlane closures throughout the cities of Bryan and College Station.

What you need to know

  • June 22-23: Full closure of the southbound mainlanes from Martin Luther King Street to Old Reliance and Harvey Road, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
    • All traffic will have to exit the William J. Bryan Parkway ramp and re-enter north of Harvey.
    • The southbound exit ramps for Martin Luther King, Old Reliance Road, William J. Bryan Parkway, Briarcrest Drive and University Drive will also be closed starting at 7:30 p.m.
  • June 24-25: Full closure of the northbound mainlanes from Briarcrest Drive and Martin Luther King and Old Reliance Road, 8:30 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
    • All traffic will have to exit the northbound William J. Bryan Parkway ramp and re-enter south of Martin Luther King and Old Reliance Road.
    • The northbound entrance ramps south of Briarcrest Drive and William J. Bryan Parkway will also be closed starting at 7:30 p.m.
What’s next

The Texas Department of Transportation will be maintaining two open mainlanes in each direction during construction. A majority of the work will be on the mainlanes, along with the construction of temporary pavement and retaining walls.
